Heritage Makers Independent Consultant, Lisa Taron and The Canadian Foundation for Animal Assisted Support Services Celebrate Storytelling.
Everyone has a story. Have you ever thought about celebrating yours or perhaps helping others to celebrate their stories? Storytelling is a great way to build communities, share what is important to you, and even inspire or comfort someone who can relate to your story.
The Canadian Foundation for Animal Assisted Support Services has teamed up with Heritage Makers, Independent Consultant, Lisa Taron to help people celebrate their service animal stories. Whether you are involved with humane education, animal assisted therapy, equine facilitated learning programs, guide and assistance dogs, service animals, including but not limited to, service ferrets, service miniature horses, service dogs such as psychiatric or special skills, pet prison programs, search and rescue, police dogs, etc. you have an important story to tell.
Heritage Makers has revolutionized the art of storytelling and has extended their support to the foundation and its visitors with our very own website. They offer a free basic account where you can create and share beautiful projects with friends, family, and even this emerging community by simply providing the link to your story. If you choose to upgrade to a Premier account you will enjoy even more with thousands of pieces of digital art, unlimited photo storage, hundreds of free templates, free online classes, and so much more!
That’s not all; every time you publish storybooks, cards, prints, or photo gifts the foundation will receive a monetary contribution toward establishing our very own customized Deliberate Acts of Kindness (DAK) Bands. Our DAK Bands will be part of our branding project and the emerging Animal Assisted Support Services DAK Hall of Distinction Program. We can also generate a revenue stream with the DAK Bands to help sustain the program.

Hi, this site is just so good, Charlie, my service dog is my legacy for sure. I can hardly wait to see what I have missed when I go back. I would love to see Charlie’s story in print, in three short years I think he has gone through, done more, put up with more things, done things that I never thought I could do having a dog and even more so now that he is a service dog. He has always been the calmest, quietest puppy I have ever meet even since I got him at three months. Everyone has told me he is an exception to the rules of dogs and when I see him out in the public and we are learning more about each other and how much we both understand each other I know he is one amazing dog, in the eyes of his human at least.
I am looking forward to sharingCharlie’s story. Poor Charlie another thing to keep his human busy!!!!!
This site is really good.
Thanks
Christina and Charlie
